Training Workshop FAQs

What does the fee include?

The fee includes workshop materials (e.g., printouts of slides and other handouts), internet access, and morning and afternoon coffee/tea breaks for all five days of the workshop.

The course fee does not cover accommodations, travel expenses (e.g., airfare, visa processing fees), or meals (e.g., lunches and dinners). Participants are responsible for making their own arrangements for these.

When is my registration considered complete?

When you complete your registration, you will receive an email from RegFox that your registration has been received. Kindly check your spam/junk folder in case you do not see the email in your inbox.

Can I pay the course fee during the workshop?

We require full payment before the workshop, either through wire transfer or credit card. Seats are on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend that participants settle the payment within 2 weeks (14 calendar days) after registration.

Once payment has been transmitted, please send a copy of the payment slip or payment advice to clientservices@birchesgroup.com. If payment is not received within 2 weeks (14 calendar days), your registration will be cancelled. You may opt to register again if your registration is cancelled.

How many participants are you expecting per workshop?

Each workshop accommodates approximately 20–25 participants from various organizations. Opportunities to network will be provided during breaks.

Where will the event be held?

You can find the venue for each Birches Group workshop on the registration page.

Do you offer visa assistance?

We do not. However, instead of visa assistance, we can provide an invitation letter upon request after we receive your registration. To request an invitation letter, kindly send an email to info@birchesgroup.com along with a copy of your passport bio page. Please note that we will not issue invitation letters before registration.

How do you get to the venue from the airport?

You may take an airport taxi to the venue or arrange for airport transfers with your hotel.

What do I need to bring to the workshop?

You will need to bring a laptop to access the Community™ web-based application we will be using for the workshop. Login details will be provided on the first day of the workshop.

Do you offer refunds?

Workshop Cancellation Policy (Effective January 1, 2018)

We understand that circumstances may prevent participants from attending workshops they have registered for. To ensure the delivery of high-quality workshops, we have implemented the following policy:

1. Participant Cancellations:

  • Up to 3 weeks (21 calendar days) before the workshop:
    Full credit may be carried over to another training course within 1 year from the date the cancellation is announced.
    Example: If a participant registers for the April 16–18 workshop and cancels on March 26, the credit will be valid until March 25 of the following year.
  • Up to 2 weeks (14 calendar days) before the workshop:
    50% of the workshop credit can be applied to a future training course. The unused credit is valid for 1 year from the cancellation date.
    Example: If a participant registers for the April 16–18 workshop and cancels on April 2, 50% of the credit will be valid until April 1 of the following year.
  • 1 week or fewer than 8 calendar days before the workshop:
    Paid credit will be forfeited. To avoid forfeiture, participants may transfer their credit to a colleague up to 5 working days before the workshop.

2. Workshop Cancellations by Birches Group:

If the minimum number of participants is not met, or for any other reason identified by Birches Group, a workshop may be canceled. In such cases:

  • Registered participants will be notified at least 5 weeks before the scheduled workshop.
  • Participants may either:
    • Apply their payment as credit toward a later workshop, or
    • Request a refund.

Credit Validity:

  • Credits from a canceled workshop are valid for 1 year from the cancellation announcement.
    Example: If a workshop is canceled on March 12, credits will be valid until March 11 of the following year.
  • If the credit used was from a prior credit transfer, refunds will not be issued. However, the credit validity will be extended for 6 months from the cancellation date.
    Example: If credit used to register for the April 16–18 workshop is affected by a cancellation announced on March 12, the credit extension will be valid until September 11 of the same year.

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

Yes, you may transfer your registration to another person within your organization. Kindly inform us at least a week before the workshop so we can make changes on our end.
